A modular, event driven, algorithmic trading system

The goal of this project was to develop a module based trading system built around a single RabbitMQ event bus, strategies and reporting modules would connect to and consume events other modules would fire.

One requirement i had when developing it was to support the hot reloading of strategy parameters to allow real time adjustment of trading parameters, this presented some interesting technical problems on how to serialise the trading implementation and how to reload the parameters without causing the running strategy to loose it's live state

An experiment with node based applications

I've always been interested in how node based applications work so over a weekend or so i developed a small resource management style game based around buying and upgrading resource nodes, wiring them together to generate more advanced resources and then creating food and shelter to help grow your population.

Currently there's no end state of game as the main focus was not on the gameplay but on the technical implementation of custom nodes and firing events between nodes.
